International Sports Tours is a specialist travel agency providing
products and services to the sporting community of Australia for
more than 18 years.
BRIAN TRAVERS, Managing Director
Brian set up International Sports Tours in the early '80s through
a love of sport and a decision to make 'a living out of his hobby'.
He
has played, coached and travelled rugby for 50 "odd" years
up to
the Golden Oldies stage.
IST's Triathlon involvement for over 10 years forced Brian to achieve
the ultimate in doing and finishing the Forster Ironman event in
the mid 90s and he now competes the open water events with the Masters
Swimming movement. He finds playing golf at the Royal Cammeray Golf
Course also a lot more relaxing.
PHILIP STRACHAN, Director of Operations
Philip's reign at IST commenced in 1990. A born and bred country
lad, Philip played rugby for NSW country before the travel bug took
over in the late 70's. Driving coaches, tour guiding and backpacking
through Europe and the Americas convinced Philip travel was the
'way to go' and if possible into sporting tours - his heart was
in the right place. Controlling Bledisloe Cup, Hong Kong 7s and
other rugby tours as well as Ironman events is his strength as IST's
Director of Operations.
BRUCE TILT, Groups Consultant
Bruce joined IST in 2001, bringing an impressive background of managerial
experience in soccer and he has a keen interest in golf and cricket.
Bruce is a qualified coach with the Australian Coaching Council
and Soccer Australia. He specialises in the area of Soccer tours.

Australia is a great sporting nation and the Directors of International
Sports Tours have a mission to provide the highest possible
standard of travel service to sporting associations, clubs, supporters
and sports people in general.
The agency plans and packages customised sporting tours to major
local and international sporting events.
Exploring and developing new sporting tour links with overseas
countries plays an integral part in the company's marketing strategies.
The Directors welcome inquiries from associations who have similar
goals and look forward to working closely with the sporting community
in the future.
